As part of a major Site Energy Upgrade, this DKK 70 million (approx. $10.3 million USD) project involved the construction of a high-voltage transformer station and supporting infrastructure across a 7-acre site.
Oscar, working for COWI Consulting as Construction Manager and Sponsor Representative, oversaw tender design, contractor selection, and project planning. He managed site coordination, risk management, stakeholder engagement, cost controls, and BIM-based progress updates, ensuring safe and timely delivery.

Tehran Metro Line 7 – South–North Section was a key part of Tehran’s underground transit expansion, involving the excavation of an 8.7-mile (14-kilometer) tunnel using Earth Pressure Balance TBM technology. The project was executed under a €54.5 million contract, with SELI S.p.A. (Italy) supplied EPB TBMs with an excavation diameter of approximately 30.1 feet (9.164 meters), along with back-up systems and rolling stock. The company also provided specialized tunneling personnel to support full execution of the works.

Oscar  participated in this project as Tunnel Chief Surveyor and Site Manager Assistant. He led surveying teams, ensured precise tunnel alignment using the Tunnel Alignment Control System (TACS), supervised surface deformation monitoring, and supported daily planning, scheduling, and coordination of site activities throughout the excavation phase.

On the  project, a €15.6 million headquarters for Ferring Pharmaceuticals located near Copenhagen Airport, Oscar, representing the company LIFA Landinspektører, worked as a consultant to Jacobs Engineering, providing Land Surveying Quality Assurance services. He worked closely with the general contractor to supervise all land surveying aspects of the project. The building, designed by Foster + Partners, spans approximately 419,800 square feet and serves as Ferring’s global research and development hub.

Metro Cityringen in Copenhagen is a 9.6-mile underground circular metro line with 17 stations, constructed using tunnel boring machines and completed in 2019. The project cost approximately DKK 21.3 billion, equivalent to around USD 3.2 billion.  It involved twin tunnels totaling 19.2 miles. Oscar  led a team of land surveyors, overseeing tunnel alignment and excavation quality. He planned survey operations, aligned them with construction and TBM schedules, and ensured precision using the Tunnel Alignment Control System (TACS). He coordinated with engineers, geologists, and site teams to maintain geodetic control and excavation accuracy.

The Gibe II Hydroelectric Project in Ethiopia diverts water from the Gibe River through a 16.7-mile tunnel beneath Mount Fofa to the Omo River, using a natural drop of 1,640 feet to generate 420 MW of power. The tunnel, excavated from both ends, has an internal diameter of 20.7 feet and was built using TBMs with continuous geodetic control. The project includes a dam, intake, vertical surge shaft, penstocks, a powerhouse with four Pelton turbines, and related infrastructure.

Oscar served as Tunnel Surveyor, overseeing TBM excavation and ensuring accurate alignment using the ZED Tunnel Guidance System. His key responsibility was to ensure the successful connection of the two tunnel drives with high-precision control.
